Saturday May 20th marks a ground breaking day for HoodStock Entertainment as we bring our community together for LAND BACK 2023. This Event will highlight the well documented history of First Nations in Canada, allowing us to teach, learn & share with each other as we welcome elders, speakers, musicians & more to join us on a picturesque afternoon at Snaw-Naw-As territory in Nanoose Bay, BC. Our Headliner is none other than Turtle Island Superstar & leader of the Land Back movement Dakota Bear. Alongside him will be YB Nakota, a fellow Indigenous Artist who has been working closely with Dakota for some years now. Dank Aspects is our Co-Headliner, he is well known for his genre bending Guitar sounds & being the cornerstone of Snak The Ripper's highly acclaimed Band. The afternoon's Feature Act is Details & Mr. ESQ, the pair remain the Island's top Pop Rap Duo & mainstays on HoodStock Entertainment's roster. They will all perform on the Main Stage donated to us by our friends at Kingsley Trucking joined by the ultra talented Nate Harris, Nanaimo's own Father/Daughter Duo Katch22" while The VicCity Soldiers will head up Island making their 2nd Appearance at MJPC. Elev8ed will make his performing debut at Snaw-Naw-As while the same can be said for Chilliwack FN Rap Tag Team HighGrade Music as well as Afrobeat/Funk Artist ALPHA CENTAURI & More. The man behind all the magic for the day will be DJ BrizlaMusic. The morning will begin with Traditional First Nation Prayer, Drum Ceremonies as well as words from many Elders & Speakers from throughout the community, hosted & emceed by Peter Hudson. Educating through speech will be a major part of Land Back 2023, we look forward to sharing with our community & people of all heritage & background. The event grounds will boast a dozen or more vendors with clothing, traditional art & food choices along with Island Royalty / HoodStock Entertainment Apparel & Artist Merchandise available for purchase.
